North Carolina Mother Records Alarming Road Rage Encounter with Child in Back Seat
A Greensboro mother captured video of another driver allegedly brake-checking her vehicle and issuing death threats while her 3-year-old son cried during a harrowing interstate incident.

A mother in North Carolina documented a disturbing road rage incident on a local interstate, recording another driver who she claims repeatedly brake-checked her vehicle and issued death threats while her 3-year-old son was present in the back seat.
Myeka Dunn reported that the encounter unfolded around 4:30 p.m. on a Friday as she was en route to drop her son off at her mother's residence. She stated that a dark blue sedan suddenly swerved into her lane, nearly causing a collision.
After Dunn sounded her horn, the situation quickly escalated. The other driver allegedly attempted to cut her off multiple times, performed brake checks, and shouted aggressive threats, according to Dunn.
"They almost hit me, so that's when I honked my horn at them," Dunn recounted.
Dunn explained that she began recording the incident with her phone as the other vehicle continued to follow her along the highway.
Vehicle Driver Issues Threats on Camera
Video footage shared publicly shows the driver of the sedan leaning out of his window, shouting, "You are going to die! You are going to die!" The distress of Dunn's toddler can be heard in the background as the child cries.
The driver then continued his verbal assault, exclaiming, "I could kill you! I could kill you!"
"You know my windows were cracked. He was able to see that my child was in the car," Dunn stated, adding, "He totally disregarded that. He didn't care."
Dunn contacted both 911 and the Guilford Metro non-emergency line to report the incident. She informed dispatchers that she had video evidence of the encounter but expressed disappointment with the initial response she received.
"To know that they're still out there and nothing has been done about it is absolutely frustrating and scary," Dunn remarked.
Police Acknowledge Procedural Lapses
Christine Moore, Deputy Director of Operations, later confirmed that the dispatcher handling Dunn's call did not adhere to standard protocols.
"Typically, … we enter what we call a ‘be on the lookout’ or a BOLO. And we did. However, we did not enter all of the appropriate information that we should have. … She [the dispatcher] did enter the lookout. She didn’t enter all of the information that was pertinent, including that there was a video involved that the officer may want to see," Moore explained.
The Greensboro Police Department stated that officers did issue a "be-on-the-lookout" (BOLO) alert after receiving reports of a dark blue sedan swerving through traffic and yelling at other motorists.
Investigators have since identified the driver involved in the incident, though no arrest has been made at this time.
The police department issued a statement via social media, advising the victim on the steps required to proceed: "The victim has been advised how to obtain a warrant on a misdemeanor charge from the Magistrate's Office due to the incident occurring outside the presence of officers."
Dunn has also indicated that she is currently in the process of securing a misdemeanor warrant against the identified driver.
