Iyo Sky secured her victory in the Queen of the Ring tournament, swiftly declaring her intention to face Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam.

Iyo Sky and Liv Morgan faced off in the highly anticipated Queen of the Ring final on Saturday during the Night of Champions event held in Saudi Arabia. The winner of this significant contest would secure a championship opportunity at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view.
Liv Morgan entered the match already holding the Women’s World Championship. Had she emerged victorious, her prize would have been a shot at Rhea Ripley's WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam in August. However, if Iyo Sky claimed the Queen of the Ring crown, she would then have the crucial decision of challenging either Morgan or Ripley for their respective titles.
Pre-Match Antics and a Lingering "Curse"
In a peculiar turn of events leading up to the bout, the mystical figure Danhausen confronted Liv Morgan. Morgan and her associates from Judgment Day had previously attempted to bribe Danhausen to place hexes on their rivals. When Morgan demanded payment she believed Danhausen owed them, he dismissed her claim and instead cast a "curse" upon her. Morgan reacted with a dismissive slap, seemingly brushing off the voodoo's potential impact.
As the match commenced and unfolded throughout the night, some observers within the WWE Universe began to wonder if Danhausen’s curse was indeed taking effect. Morgan exerted considerable effort to try and defeat Sky. She attempted a high-flying maneuver, but Sky managed to evade and counter the attack.
Iyo Sky Crowned Queen of the Ring
Sky then executed a powerful Spanish Fly, followed by her signature Over the Moonsault. She landed the aerial maneuver flawlessly, successfully pinning Morgan to secure the hard-fought victory.
With this decisive win, Iyo Sky was officially crowned the Queen of the Ring.
Following her triumph, Sky spoke with interviewer Byron Saxton backstage. She wasted no time in making her intentions clear, immediately declaring her pursuit of the Women’s World Championship.
"Liv, I’ll see you at SummerSlam," Sky stated emphatically.
This declaration instantly established the Iyo Sky versus Liv Morgan match as the first confirmed bout for SummerSlam. The major two-day event is scheduled to take place at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on August 1 and 2.
Iyo Sky has previously held both the WWE Women’s Championship and the Women’s World Championship once each. A victory in August would mark her third championship reign in WWE.
