Bunnie Xo Details Severe Physical Impact of Jelly Roll Divorce, Embraces New Self-Focused Chapter

Media personality Bunnie Xo has disclosed the significant physical and emotional strain she experienced during her divorce proceedings with musician Jelly Roll.

During a conversation on "Open Book with Jenna Bush Hager," Bunnie Xo recounted severe moments, stating that her team at times had to assist her from the floor and administer IVs due to her inability to eat. She further explained, "I was eating baby food to get by, you know," detailing a 20-pound weight loss attributed to the emotional distress of the separation.

The Timeline of a Relationship

The divorce filing by Jelly Roll against Bunnie Xo occurred on May 18, though the Grammy-nominated artist indicated May 9 as their date of separation. The couple's relationship began in 2015 when Bunnie, then a former sex worker, encountered the burgeoning music star at a Las Vegas concert. They subsequently eloped the following year. Their marriage spanned nearly a decade before its official dissolution in July.

Reclaiming Her Narrative

Following the public announcement of her divorce, Bunnie Xo initially shared personal insights into the separation on her podcast, though the episode was later removed from YouTube. Explaining her decision to Hager, she remarked, "Everybody loves to watch a train wreck. So, I mean, yeah, I was not going to participate in that circus."

She emphasized her autonomy, asserting, "I am my own person. I stand on my own two feet, even alongside my ex-husband." She further elaborated on her distinct identity, stating, "I was still my own entity and had my own brand aside from him." This independence, she noted, enabled her to "continue to stand on my own two feet and not have to dwell in that space of emotion."

Embracing Self-Prioritization

As Bunnie Xo moves forward from the conclusion of her marriage, which spanned nearly a decade, she described embarking on a fresh phase centered on self-care and personal priority, free from guilt. She articulated this shift as "just pouring back into yourself," advocating for a healthy form of selfishness. "It's OK to be selfish," she affirmed. "We as women feel like we need permission to be selfish, and we don't. Tell your kids to go to bed and eat the freaking brownies without them, you know? Even if it's something as small as that, we deserve to be selfish."

She concluded, emphasizing the importance of personal time and mutual support: "We deserve to have our own time, and we deserve to pour into each other. I'm having so much fun."

Life After Divorce

Despite enjoying her renewed independence, Bunnie Xo maintains that her post-divorce life is not as sensational as online speculation might suggest. She challenged assumptions, stating, "People probably think I'm out here doing, like, ho activities, and I'm not. I swear to God." Instead, she described more mundane activities: "Literally, we're at home playing — what's it called? — Cards Against Humanity. … We're swimming, we're working out. You guys see only what I put on social media."

This clarification comes after she was seen in early July with a younger individual, identified as 24-year-old reality star Dylan Wolf. Video footage, reportedly obtained by TMZ, showed Bunnie Xo kissing Wolf at Jelly Roll's bar in Nashville. She clarified that public sightings with various individuals do not necessarily indicate romantic involvement. Playfully, she added, "I'm like, 'Can your girl have some fun?' I'm going, 'You guys are going to see me with multiple men, maybe even a couple women. You never know. Maybe even a freaking camel.'"
